Does AppGate support Windows Vista?

Appgate supports Windows Vista as a client platform with the following caveats

• Direct hostfile writing for name resolution is not supported by Vista. We therefore recommend installation of the AppGate Hostfile writer or the IP tunnelling driver on Vista clients.

• To mount shares IP tunneling is required and IP Access components, on port 139 (or 445), allowing for direct communication with the file server must be used. The Share access component does not work in Vista.

• Clients prior to 8.0 will not report the operating system as vista

• Signed drivers for Vista and Vista 64-bit are available as of AppGate version 8.2.  IP-tunneling version 8.0.1 and later supports the 32-bit version of Vista. 

• The Device Firewall supports 32-bit Vista
